My Journey
I am a compassionate mediator devoted to assisting families to find calm and clarity through life’s most difficult transitions. My heart is centered in supporting parents as they navigate separation and divorce with care, understanding and respect, always keeping the happiness and well-being of their child/ren at the core of their focus. With empathy, open communication and transparency, families can find healing and together build a peaceful path forward.
I qualified as a Social Worker in the United Kingdom (“UK”), earning a Master’s degree from the University of Central Lancashire, following a BA (Hons) in Education and Social Care (2007), and a Foundation Degree in Child Development (2006).
During my master’s studies, I conducted research on children’s attachment to incarcerated mothers, laying the foundation for my lifelong commitment to child-centered social work. From 2009 to 2011, I worked as a frontline statutory Social Worker within the Child Protection and Court Team in the UK, safeguarding vulnerable children and adults within a legal framework.
To broaden my expertise, I subsequently joined the Youth Criminal Justice Team, working with vulnerable young offenders in both community and custodial settings until 2014. During this time, I advanced professionally to Grade 9 and completed extensive training in risk management, trauma therapy, restorative justice, mediation, and forensic court writing.

In 2015….. Additionally, I was privileged to guest lecture at universities... I contributed to research with the ALS team in British Columbia, Canada, which has a global impact.
In 2019, after relocating to South Africa, I qualified as a Family Mediator. I also volunteered on the Pro Bono Scheme at Benoni Magistrates Court, further demonstrating my commitment to accessible justice for families.

I continue with research and further learning to enhance and hone my skills and expertise in order to assist families and businesses effectively.
